What to Play on Meta Quest: July 2026 Recap
The summer heat is unrelenting, which means you’ve got a perfect excuse to stay inside and fire up some adventures on Meta Quest. The good news is, you’ve got plenty to play this month, thanks to some big new releases and some major updates to fan-favorite titles.
Every month, we round up all the biggest new releases and content updates each month, to keep you up-to-date on what’s happening on Meta Quest and what’s pushing the envelope in VR — so be sure to check back each month for more updates.
XBOX Game Pass comes to Meta Horizon+
Meta Horizon+ offers subscribers a huge library of 100+ games they can download and play for free anytime they want. The service got even better this month after we partnered with XBOX to bring a starter edition of XBOX Game Pass to Meta Horizon+. Subscribers can now play titles from a library of more than 50+ XBOX games right on their Meta Quest headsets. Meta Horizon+ comes with 10 hours of game streaming per month, and you can use one of four different display options when you fire up a game — including a 23-foot theater-style setup right inside your headset. Roboquest VR
Set in a scorched futuristic world, Roboquest VR is a fast-paced roguelite shooter that has you sprinting, leaping, and sliding as you tear through swarms of mechanical enemies, and gives you more than 70 weapons with which to do so. You’ll fight through procedurally generated levels and unlock classes, perks, and abilities to aid you in battle as you work to push ever further. Beat Saber Extras Drop: Haywire
Month after month, Beat Saber expands on its huge library of fast-paced beat-slicing songs with new music. In July, Beat Saber added Gone for Good by GRAMMY-nominated electronic music songwriter and producer Haywyre. Best of all, the track is free to Beat Saber players, so go pick it up and start swinging. Check out our post on the Haywire drop for more.
Hard Bullet — July 4th Update
Shooter Hard Bullet puts you into your very own action movie as streams of enemies pour into an arena and you have to use anything and everything you can to take them down. July saw a big update for Hard Bullet, with a number of upgrades to guns and improvements on visuals, as well as enhancements for overall performance. And just in time for July 4, the update amped up Hard Bullet’s explosion to be bigger and more awesome.
UG — July Update
The world of the dino-riding, cooperative sandbox UG keeps expanding with new things to do, new dinos to find, and new bosses to battle. July brought the return of the Underwater map to UG, along with the frightening Mosasugus and UGtopus waiting in the depths. There are new fish to catch, as well as three new dinos: the Grogfin, Kragasoar, and Finasoar, the first-ever fusion of Hydro- and Glider-type dinos. There’s a whole lot of new stuff to discover, so this is a great time to dive into UG and see what’s new.
MotoX — Summer Send Update
MotoX is all about the need for speed, but it’s usually confined to land as it puts you on the back of a motorcycle or motocross bike and sends you over jumps, through races, and on the run from the cops. But with the Summer Send update, MotoX hits the water, adding the Nawasaki Riptide, the first of the game’s jetski vehicles. The Riptide is both a bike and a jetski, so you can take it from land to water and back again, which is perfect for riding through the new Beach and Big Lake areas.
Blade & Sorcery — The Khar-Tib Update
Take up your sword, bow, spells, or flintlock pistol and battle it out in medieval sandbox Blade & Sorcery: Nomad. The Khar-Tib Update, the third of four huge free updates, hit Nomad this month, adding the desert nation of Khar-Tib to the game with new maps to explore and fight across. The new area also brings a host of new desert-themed armor to wear and new weapons to wield, ranging from curved blades and battle axes to a crossbow. You can take on the enemies of Khar-Tib with conventional weapons, or try out the new magically infused Kharese bombs to really create some mayhem.
Golf+ — 154th Open: Royale Birkdale
Golf+ has a huge number of courses available for you to hit the links in virtual reality, whether you want to hit some drives and putts alone, or join a few friends, and has been adding more free and paid content all year. The latest addition is Royal Birkdale, which plays host to the 154th Open Championship in Southport, England, and joined the Golf+ roster this month, giving players a chance to try their skills at the same championship test as the world’s best golfers.
Underdogs — Episode 01: “Open Cage”
In Underdogs, you climb into the cockpit of a bipedal mech to take part in underground knock-down, drag-out fist-fights — only your fists are metal and weigh a couple of tons. Up until now, though, the other mechs you’ve been tangling with have been computer-controlled. July’s Episode 1: “Open Cage” update brings multiplayer to Underdogs, so you can test your metal mettle against other humans. There’s also a new garage that lets you customize your mechs, and an updated control scheme that brings you way more capabilities, like the ability to climb on almost anything.
Table Troopers — Modern Wandfare DLC
Turn-based multiplayer strategy game Table Troopers just celebrated its one-year anniversary, putting players in control of forces deployed across battlefields in both a single-player campaign, or against one another. Table Troopers just added the “Modern Wandfare” DLC, which adds a campaign of four new levels, four new maps, and eight new weapons that combine modern military and magical fantasy.
